You could go to a store and buy an aromatherapy bath product, or you could make your own at home. Herbal and aromatic baths are an ancient tradition, simple to make and easy on the wallet. Keep reading to learn more about why herbal baths are good for you, how to draw the best herbal baths and recipes that you can make.

Benefits of Herbal and Aromatic Baths

Herbal baths are detoxifying, aromatic and intensely relaxing, both spiritually and physically. The ceremony of bathing in herbs is a daily rite in many cultures, and a return to the course for both the body and the spirit.

The herbs chosen for an aromatic bath will change the effect of the bath. For example, if the bath is designed to invigorate the mind, one herb or combination of herbs may be chosen, but if the bath is designed to promote sleep, then another herb or combination of herbs may be chosen. This is just as you might pick one type of herbal tea to settle an upset stomach or another to help you relax.

Drawing the Perfect Aromatherapy Bath

Think of brewing an herbal bath like brewing that big cup of herbal tea. In fact, many people simply toss a few herbal tea bags right into the bath water and let the dried herbs do their work. If you’re making your own herbal baths, try wrapping the herb mixture in muslin and tying it off. Then, either drop these in the bath or tie them to the faucet.

If you want to make your own herbal and aromatherapy bath product mixtures, keep reading for some fantastic recipes that you can blend at home.

Invigorating Ginger Blend

Recipe:
¼ cup minced ginger root (promotes circulation)
¼ cup dried parsley (tonic for the skin)
½ cup grated lemon peel (cleansing and aromatic)
2 tablespoons oatmeal (softens the water)

Rosemary and Sage Bath

Mixture:
2 tbsp oatmeal (softens water)
¼ c sage (helps with poor concentration)
¼ c rosemary (promotes mental alertness)

Lemon and Orange Blend

Mixture:
¼ c grated orange peel (reduces anxiety and stress)
1 tbsp dried parsley (invigorates skin)
1 tbsp comfrey (antiseptic properties)
¼ c grated lemon peel (cleanser and invigorates the mind)

Basil, Eucalyptus and Peppermint Bath

Recipe:
¼ cup dried basil (regenerates mental powers)
¼ cup dried eucalyptus (improves concentration)
¼ cup dried peppermint (alleviates mental fatigue and low concentration)

Soothing Linden Bath Blend

Recipe:
¼ cup dried linden (soothes frayed nerves)
¼ cup dried comfrey (heals skin irritations)
¼ cup dried yarrow (ancient Chinese herb, astringent and great for aching muscles)
2 tablespoons oatmeal (softens bath water)

So, while you could spend anywhere from $5 to $30 on a pre-made aromatherapy bath product, it’s easy to make your own blends right at home. Feel free to tinker with these recipes, adding additional herbs or essential oils to customize the mix to your own tastes.

An herbal bath can be a most soothing experience, helping with the cleansing of the body and uplift of the spirit. Trying any of the options referenced above will no doubt bring relaxation in the midst of the weariness of life.

I didn’t even think it was possible for a woman to literally rape a man, but I think my best friend did exactly that to me…
First though, some back-story…
I met my best friend, Brenda when I was just 13… I’m 25 now… Anyways, we lived next to each other and we quickly became close, I mean really close. We always got along great, and we never had any problems between us two. Even though we were both horny teenagers while growing up together and she was very pretty as well, we never took things to far. The most we ever did was share one kiss shortly before high school ended.
Other than that, things have always been platonic and kosher. We’ve managed to stay close, and I thought we were okay until recently…
I started dating my wonderful fiance, Leah, a year ago and I fell ridiculously in love with her. There was just something about her that drew me into her world like no other. Don’t get me wrong, I always cared for Brenda, but I was just simply in aw of my fiance and just how wonderful she is.
To the present:
Me and Brenda still hang out from time to time, usually not alone any more although we have spent time just us two in the past year a handful of times.
Well last Tuesday on my way home from work I get a call from Brenda telling me she had the worst day at work and just had to talk to someone and asked if I could pick up a bite to eat and have dinner with her so she could vent about her day. I told her it should be okay and that I’d call and let my fiance know what I would be doing… Kool right?
Wrong!
So I pick up some Chinese and take it back to Brenda’s. Eventually we sit down and eat while have a wonderful evening, just like old times! Or so I thought!!!
She begins to tell me about her day and how she almost got fired, and how there are these two really creepy people at work who hit on her all the time (one was a greasy dude, and the other was an angry butch lesbian). After she tells me about her day I notice she keeps glancing my way while teasing her hair, which began to make me feel awkward. However, before we done eating she asked if I’d like something to drink. I said I didn’t want anything alcoholic that evening so she offered to get me some tea instead which I delightfully accepted.
As soon as I started drinking my tea Brenda decided to drop a bomb. She starts telling me how lucky of a girl Leah was to have me, and that if things had been different she would have put it on me like Leah never had. She also said that I was the kind of guy she had wanted her whole life was sorry that she ever let me slip through her hands…
I was shocked, and upset! With each new revelation I took a large drink from my glass of tea… by the time she had finished spilling her guts I had finished my glass of tea… that’s when things really get weird.
As soon as my glass of tea was empty and she was done talking, I had made up my mind that I was too upset to stay any longer and was going to leave. However, when I tried to get up out of my chair I fell flat on my face!
I felt as though I had drank a whole bottle of whiskey by myself! And I didn’t have anything else! I was so out of it and light-headed I didn’t know what to do and before I knew it I blacked out…
The next thing I knew I woke up in the morning naked laying next to Brenda with the worst side-splitting headache. What bothered me even more was that I had a huge and totally uncontrollable erection! I didn’t want it, I was pissed at myself and Brenda! I didn’t understand how I seemingly loss all control of my faculties and would be willing to hurt my fiance like that and throw it all away one one stupid night of passion. I was really upset and left as quickly as possible to race back to Leah’s and try to salvage the relationship by telling her what happened and throwing myself upon her mercy!
I did, and at first she didn’t believe me… she flat out refused to believe me and called me a lying p.o.s male whore.
Well Thursday rolls around, and I’m still in disbelief from everything that happened so I decide to go to my doctor. I go and tell him I want him to give me a blood and drug test to see if there was anything unusual in my system. After a minute or two of arguing with me doctor he reluctantly gave me the test.
When the results came back on Friday he said that they had found traces of GHB (ruphee’s or the “date rape drug” as it’s more commonly referred as) and extremely high levels of what amounted to be VIAGRA… He said I had enough VIAGRA in my blood at the time of the test that I could have been unconscious and gotten an erection.
I’m beginning to think that Brenda, my best friend spiked my tea with ruphee’s and VIAGRA so that she could rape me while I was passed out.
I asked my doctor if he’d ever heard of such and thing, and although he said he hadn’t my doctor also said that such a thing might not be impossible to do in such circumstan

There are a number of herbs that can help relieve your symptoms of stress. And, in general, do so without affecting your ability to think clearly.Herbs have been used for generations. For the most part, are not only very effective with few side effects, but they are cheaper than medications.

Just be sure not to underestimate them. Herbs can have far reaching effects, and you need to learn how they work. Also watch out for possible interactions between herbs and other medications you may be taking. In order to understand how herbs can help, it is useful to know what happens when we are stressed. Firstly, when stressed, to be tense throughout our body.

Strengthen our muscles, our brain becomes overwhelmed with stimulation, and our nervous systems go at high speed. If this condition persists too long or repeated too often, our bodies begin to decompose.

So it is important to find a way to relieve stress without adding more stress to our body, as often happens with drugs or alcohol. And here is where herbs fit in.

Here are some favorite herbs for stress relief. People respond better to some than to others. The key is to experiment, particular attention to its effects, and find what works best for you.

Lemon balm

Lemon balm is a member of the mint family. Originating in Europe, is well known for its calming effect. It can be taken as an herbal tea and can be used as aromatherapy.

Manzanilla

Chamomile is a favorite for a long time that is usually drunk as a tea to trigger relaxation and improve sleep.

Té Verde

We have heard a lot lately about green tea. It is now readily available at any supermarket or convenience store as an ice tea, tea bags, and other formats. It is a natural relaxant, in part because of theanine, the main substance in green tea. But be careful …

If it also contains caffeine, but not much. However, if you are not used to caffeine, which can keep you awake at night.

Hops

We tend to associate the beer with hops, but also used as a tea to relieve depression and calm the nervous system. It also helps to relieve other conditions often associated with stress such as digestive disorders.

Skullcap

Skullcap is a plant that grows freely in North America and in tropical climates. It is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in Chinese herbology. For centuries, Chinese doctors have used to soothe nervous tension and anxiety.

Passion Flower

Passion Flower is found throughout the world except Antarctica and Europe. It is popular in Europe to relieve stress. The leaves can be used to make tea to relieve insomnia, depression and anxiety.

Valeriana

Valerian has been used in Europe for generations. Is highly effective in calming stressed nerves. Its odor may take some time to get used to, but once the benefits may actually come to love (or at least develop positive associations with it).

If you find the smell too hard to take, deal in tablet or pill form. It works equally well.

You’ll find various combinations of these herbs as a calming tea in grocery store in pill form or in your local health food store. What works best? Try some of them and keep tabs on how the work for you. You may never need again again Valium.

Just remember that herbs are too powerful. Be careful driving and operating machinery until you know how they affect you. And, of course, you may want to consult with your doctor first.
